What is Student Life? Student Life is the living and learning that takes place outside of the classroom, and it’s a big part of your college experience. It includes service, leadership, friendships and that hard-to-define essence that makes college more than a collection of courses or buildings.
Those involved in student groups or volunteering in the community can attest to the satisfaction they experience. By combining the skills you learn through co-curricular involvement and your class work, you will be better prepared to enjoy college, develop your potential and get that job.
So join a club. Be a student government leader. Keep abreast of performing arts and lecture series. Just hang out with other students and staff at the Student Life Office. Student Life can help with all of these, and more. Here are a few of the services you'll find:
Clubs and Organizations
Clubs at each DCCCD college cover the gamut and include culture, arts, academics, wellness, networking and more. Join one, or start your own.
Student Government
Interested in making a difference? Student government serves as the voice of the student body. Seek elected office, meet administrators and other students and work toward your college’s mission.
Leadership Training
Be a leader: Discover your leadership style, make friends and add to your resume. Field trips can help you grow your knowledge and expand your experience while having a great time.
